After 30 km from Split and Makarska, the town Omiš, a
picturesque of the pirates' origin could be reached. It is situated
at the source of the river Cetina and ander slopes of the mountains
Mosor and Biokovo. As such, it offers many different activities in
the nature starting from rafting, canoeing, kayaking walking, free
climbing and canyoning
RAFTING RIVER CETINA
class I-III (11 km
Slime-Izletište luka)
MEETING POINT: parking of IZLETIŠTE
LUKA (6,5 kilometers up to the left bank
of the river Cetina from Omiš) from where we continue with
organized transfer to the starting point Slime (14 km)
METTING TIME: 09:00 and 14:30
(from begin June to begin September) rest of the year at 10:00 am
or negotiable
Guests will be welcomed at the "Izletiste Luka" (6,5 kilometers
from Omiš, along the left coast of the river Cetina), where
transport will be organized to the starting position. Trip will end
in "Izletiste Luka" after 3 hours of drifting through the canyon of
one of the most beautiful Croatian rivers. During the high seasons
the air temperature amounts up to 30° C whereas the water
temperature reaches 20° C being thus fit for swimming, hydro
massages and etc.
Along the whole path the plain portions of the river and currents,
estimated as ones of the I and III level, are being varied.
Although these currents could be easily managed, the combined
maneuvers are necessary. Since the whole path does not require
specific physical capacity even the children (6-14 years)
accompanied by their parents could participate in rafting (30% of
discount).
At the start of the trip the guests are introduced to their
guide and receive the necessary equipment.
Within the starting point the river is calm, therefore this part
is used as the site where the guests can grasp basic knowledge in
order to experience a better and safer trip.
The following part of the river is affluent with currents,
different obstacles, water falls and abundant vegetation which
creates natural tunnels giving thus the impression of being far
away from civilization.
At this part of the river a beautiful cave behind the
water fall Studenci is to be visited (AFTER INDIVIDUAL WHISH OF THE
GUEST AND DEPENDING ON THE WATER LEVEL IN THE CAVE).
Having visited the cave, the visitors will enjoy their meal
during the break. By approaching Izletište Luka, the river is
becoming calm giving the guests the possibility of settling down
their impressions. During the trip one could admire wealthy
flora and fauna and explore the phenomena of the Dalmatian karst as
well as to give a personal contribution towards the river and
nature preservation.

THE PRICE
INCLUDES: transfer from Izletište luka to
the start point, boat and equipment rent (helmet, life jacket,
paddle, wet suit, anorak, neoprene socks), rafting guide services
hire, river tax, fruit meal, energy bar, 1/2l water and insurance
(Uniqa).
The
capacity of one raft is 8 persons plus guide.
What is
the best time of year to go? The most exciting time to
white water raft is during the high level water period which is
approximately from begin March to mid-May.

(instructions, dress of equipment) plus 3 hours

WHAT TO BRING ON THIS
TRIP: T-shirt, bathing suit, towel, sports shoes, extra
clothes and shoes you will put on after the trip.
MIN AGE The rafting
trip class I-III is appropriate for children (we have experience
with the ages of 3 - 85 DURING THE SUMMER PERIOD ) . But it's best
if you judge by yourself how long your child can sit in a raft and
behave for 3 hours on the river. However, we don't recommend
children under 6 years to participate.
In case of a too high water
level this part of the river is too dangerous because of the big
number of steaniers (a big part of the river flowes through the
wood).
In that case we offer a
alternative descent on the upper flow with start at Čikota Lađa and
finish at Blato na Cetini. This part of the river, which is too
shallow to enjoy during the usual water level, is very interesting
during the higher water level (class III).
Previous experience is not
required and you don't need to be a proficient
swimmer.
THE TRIP SHOULD BE BOOKED
1-2 DAYS BEFORE BY PHONE OR E-MAIL (DAILY NUMBER OF PERSONS IS
LIMITED).
- All guides have the Certificated white
water guide license by IRF (International Rafting Federation )
and the necessary license for all rafting tours
organized in Croatia
- It is advisable not to take any valuable objects with
you (jewelry, watches) and if you wear glasses tight them with a
thin rope.
- A stay in the wilderness includes the risk of injuries:
in order to avoid them it is of extreme importance to pay attention
to the guide (skipper)!
- The environment must not be damaged or
defiled!
- We have full winter equipment (socks, wet suit and
anorak) for cold conditions.
- In case of bad weather we retain the right of change of
program to the possibilities because of the safety of the
group.
- Drugs and alcohol are not allowed!
- Minors that want to participate in any of the
excursions without the supervision of their parents have to bring a
permission form signed by their legal guardian (foreign minors have
to bring a permission of the competent authority that is authorized
for the authentication of public documents in their native
country).
