We are a young team from Makarska that creates
and implements mountainbike routes along the idyllic roads of
Dalmatia.
We invite you to join us in Makarska and to experience tours
along the coast, over national parks, islands and across the
foot of the mountain of Biokovo. You will be equiped with high
- quality bicycles, trade marked by SCOTT USA which we service
regularely.
Our groups consist of not more than 8 people that are guided
by one of our professional tour operators.
We hope you will decide to explore and discover the natural
beauty of Croatia with us.

The main aim of this program is to present a part of our country
to the participants of the program by using the active cycling.
Bicycles are ridden along paved roads that aren't crowded with
traffic and roads with the minimum of ascentions and downhills.
The beginning of the tour is arranged in the same way in all
tours i.e. starting and coming back by minibus (coming back
is insured).
Who can participate in this program?
- beginners, weekend cyclists, families and so alike
Techniques needed for this level:
- capability and knowledge of riding a bike on hard roads
- behaving conscientiously during downhills
- control over the brakes
Monday: Makarska riviera
This tour includes a ride along the Makarska riviera. The beginning
is in the village of Breli and from there we ride along roads
with little traffic after what we reach the village Krvavica.
The road leads us directly to the coast where we experience
picturesque fishing villages, pine woods and beautiful small
bays. We continue the tour from Krvavica to Makarska along the
coastal road "lungo mare" where we can see wide variety
of beaches on this riviera. In addition, we continue over peninsula
Peljesac to the next rather small inhabited place called Tucepi.
After Tucepi, which is by the way very beautiful and has one
of the longest beaches ih Dalmatia, we continue towards Podgora
and Cakalji where we bring our tour to an end.

Tuesday: A great downhill from the mountain Biokovo
By minibus and bicycles we are reaching the most beautiful mountain
part of Dalmatia - the wonderful mountain Biokovo and there,
from the peak Vosac (1422m) to which we arrive after 20 min
of walking, we have a magnificent view on Makarska and the surrounding
islands Hvar, Brac, Korcula and peninsula Peljesac. The grandiosity
of the sight leaves noone indifferent so this point may be considered
as one of the most attractive destinations.
By a great downhill that is taking place along a paved road
we arrive to Podgora, situated at the coast. The downhill is
led by one of our guiedes and is adapted to all age groups and
physicall shapes.

Wednesday: Canyon of the river Cetina
We drive 15 minutes by a minibus after what we arrive to the
village of Slime which is situated in the inner part of the
mountain Omiska Dinara and this is the point where our tour
begins. The road leads us along a mountain road and passes through
old abandoned villages typicall for this locality. After a short
climb (3 km) followed by a great downhill we arrive to the canyon
of the river Cetina. Cetina is a big mountain river that somehow
managed to make its way to the sea bursting through the mountain
massives. In the end, we visit the excursion centre Radmanove
mlinice where we make a short pause. Rested and refreshed, we
continue towards the old pirate city Omis and that is the end
of our tour.

Thursday: The Blue and The Red Lake
The starting point is Makarska from where we set out by a minibus.
The route leads us firstly along a coastal road followed by
a mountain road and after crossing the mountain Biokovo we arrive
to the town of Imotski. The cliffy land of Imotski is very proud
of its natural phenomenons, on The Blue and The Red Lake. Welcomed
by friendly hosts, we make a pause in one of the last mills
of this area. After the break, we are to deal with an easy ascent
that leads us to the natural phenomenons The Blue and The Red
Lake.

Friday: Region behind the mountain
Our tour begins at 800 m above sea level with a big downhill
to the valley. This road leads us through old but still inhabited
villages where its residants produce their own wine, brandy,
smoked ham, bread and cheese. There we rest at at one of the
host's place in a typical Dalmatian tavern which the autochtons
call "Konoba". After the pause we will cross one of
the more difficult downhills that leads to a point where a beautifull
sight is spreading on mostly all parts of the region. Riding
further, the road leads us along places where we can see remains
of monuments and tomb-stones and it ends up in Zagvozd where
we are about to see two churches, the new and the old one, placed
closely together one beside the other.

Saturday: Valley of the river Neretva
Firstly we are driven by a minibus to the city of Opuzen. Our
tour begins on 150 m above sea level with a downhill leading
to the valley of river Neretva. Whille descending, we can see
the entrance of Little Neretva to Adriatic sea. This idyllic
road leads along the plantations of mandarines and oranges.
People of this region will give us the oportunity to taste season
fruit growed there.

Level 2 includes tours ridden by better skilled attendats. Conditions
needed for this level are advanced techniques of riding, contro
over bicycles and being in a good sporting condition. Duration
of a tour is determined by conditions like ability of the attendants.
However, a conducter informs about the average duration of a
tour and the time of return.
Techniques needed for this level:
- vertical pedaling;
- balancing and crossing the hithces
- predicting and changing the gears;
- behaving consciously during an ascent;
- estimating and adjusting the brakes according to the demands
on field;
- controled avoidance of hithces and barriers;
- minimum age - 16.
Monday: Makarska - north side
We start in Makarska and with our bicycles we pass along the
coast through old fishing villages, we see beautiful woods and
beaches and arrive to the village of Brela which has one of
the best arranged beaches on the riviera. The road from Brela
leads us along our first ascent leading to the village of Topici
after which we continue further with climbs to the old village
Bast and to the part above Krvavica famous for a permanent habituation
of mouflons. After resting in a shadow of pines and experiencing
beautiful panorama of this territory, the road leads us further
on through the village of Zglib to the foot of the mountain
Biokovo. Afterwards we are to roll down a great downhill to
the starting point of our tour.

Tuesday: Biokovo
This excursion is taking place in one of the most beautiful
parts of Dalmatia - on the mountain Biokovo. Traveling through
the parks of nature, we can observe many vegetation species
which this mountain is proud of. Furthermore, this variety of
species makes Biokovo one of the most interesting destinations
for the nature lovers. We make a short pause at the highest
peak of Biokovo (st. Jure - 1762m) from where we experience
wanderfull view on the neighbouring islands Hvar and Brac and
on the inside of Dalmatia. The beauty of this region leaves
noone cold and indifferent so consequently this is why many
visitors consider this tour as the most exciting one. With a
magnificent downhill that follows afterwards, we roll downn
back to Makarka.

Wednesday: River Cetina
After traveling 15 minutes by a minibus, we arrive to Slime
which is a region behind the mountain Omiska Dinara. We travel
by bikes along a mountain road to the valley of river Cetina
through old abandoned villages. A great ascent expects us while
riding to the village of Kostanja after what we can expect a
downhill leading to the banks of the river Cetina. Cetina is
a big mountain river that managed to burst its way to the sea.
Feeling a big reverence towards this power, its leaving us breathless.
We make a brake in Studenci, the most dangerous route for the
kayakers after what a climb follows that leads us towards Gata
where we can experience a wonderfull view on the town of Omis
and on the mouth of river Cetina. As the tour is drawing to
an end, we visit the old pirate town Omis after what the road
leads us along the river banks to Radmanove mlinice which is
the favourite holiday resort of this region.

Thursday: The Blue and The Red Lake
We first travel by minibus from Makarska along the
coastal road followed by a mountain road. Across the massif
Biokovo we arrive to the town of Imotski. The cliffy region
of Imotski is very proud on its natural phenomenons The Blue
and The Red lake. With a downhill which is the starting point
of our cycling tour, we continue over macadams through fields
and arrive to the lake Prelosko blato. There is a little island
rising from the lake with the belonging monastery built on it.
A great downhill follows after Prolozac with which we arrive
to a unique fan-light for the Red lake that gives us a breath-taking
view.
After the sight-seeing on the Red lake we continue to the Blue
lake where we can expect more fan-lights for this tamer lake.

Friday: Makarska - south side
The beginning of the tour includes a big ascent to
the "Veliko Brdo" (Big Hill) followed by a big downhill
over macadams to the villages Makar and Mlinice. The adventure
is continued by a climb to village of Kotisina with a botanical
garden placed there. Here we make a short break enjoying the
beauty of untouched nature. Rested, we ride through vineyards
and pine wood to the village Gornje Tucepi and continue along
the signle track to Gornja Podgora. A downhill afterwads leads
us to Podgora. This fishing village is especially known for
"Galebovo krilo" (meaning the wing of a sea-gull),
monument to the first navy during the second world war. After
sight-seeing on the monument we continue along the coastal road
- lungo mare which leads us back to Makarska with the sound
of sea waves.

Makarska
Our tour begins in Makarska and leads us along the
coast through old fishing villages, woods and beaches all the
way to the Brelo where we can expect our first climb. The road
leads us to the foot of the mountain Biokovo and along the macadams
and goat's paths we pass through old abandoned villages Makar
and Kotisina and finally arrive to the village Gornje Tucepi.
A climb follows after which leads to one of the most beautiful
parts of Dalmatia - to the mountain Biokovo. The untouched nature
and the authentic beauty of this mountain leaves noone indifferent,
especially valuable is the unique view that spreads on to neighbour
islands Hvar and Brac and to peninsula Peljesac. Afterwards
with a big downhill we arrive to Podgora. With our bicycles
we are the only drivers on these roads. After we leave Podgora,
our tours crosses the peninsula Osejeva and ends in Makarska.

This tours represent a real pleasure for sympathizers of mountain
bikes and cyling which are by the way expected to be in a good
physicall condition (level2).
You will be placed in Makarska because of its good geographical
position and for the same reason our in-patient clinic is also
situated there. The name Makarska is connected with long tourist
tradition and it is one of the most favourite summer resorts
on the Adriatic coast. You will be accommodated in private apartments
that are in range with international standards
First day:

With a downhill which is the starting point of our cycling tour,

What is expected from you?
Considering the level 2, we ride over roads and goat's
paths with frequent climbs. Conditions needed for this program:
advanced technique of riding a bike, controlling a bike and
a good sporting shape.
Tecniques needed for this level:
