One of the most attractive sports in the world. It was devised
by American foresters which marked trees for cutting with paint
by markers (guns). There are two kinds of paintball - sports
and recreational one. The goal of both is to hit members of
the opposing team by plastic balls filled with paint and conquer
their territory, the flag or the fortification.
This type of recreation is a pleasant connection of the stay
in nature and sport, it relieves the player of daily stress,
and, more than strength and speed, it demands nimbleness, decisiveness,
intelligence and, before all, team work. It can be played by
anybody aged over 18, while the body weight, physical condition,
and even the old age are not an obstacle. Strength is tested
by teams of 3, 5, 7, 10 or more competitors, and every game
is different because the directions of the attack are changed,
the arrangement of players and the strategy of defense or attack.
The basic rules demand the obligatory use of a protective mask,
observing the decisions by judges which decide upon all disputable
situations. When not playing, the player blocks and puts away
the weapon (marker).
Playing Sites
The "ALFA" - Split paintball club organizes recreational paintball
at the Radinje playing site in Dicmo, a 15-20 minutes drive
away from Split. We offer 3 types of natural sites which are
situated at the height of 500 - 650 m above sea-level:
1) The centennial forest of
Dalmatian black pine on a mild climb in which we organize
the attractive "man hunt", with 5-10 players "hunting"
1-2 players is the first site.
2) Upon the completion of the same, we climb
by an easy walk (up to 5 minutes) to the Radinje mountain
plateau, which is situated at the height of approx. 650 m
above sea-level. The game continues in the central fenced
field with the surface of 30,000 m2 in which the relationships
of the forested, stony and flat (turfs or meadows) surfaces
are well balanced, while natural cliffs are rearranged into
fortifications which are attacked. In this field, all forms
of the game are possible, such as, attack - defense, seize
the flag, and any scenario which the players agree upon.
3) After that, a walk (about 2 minutes) takes
us to an old village in which "Urban fight" is organized -
the game of great speed, explosive quality and quick realization
of the agreed tactics. Such a type of the game can currently
be offered only by us in the whole of Croatia.
We particularly point out that visitors have at their disposal
an open fireplace, grill, Italian bowls, volleyball grounds
and five-a-side soccer grounds, which they can use as they
wish.
Terms and prices
Games can be played every day in the morning (10 a.m.-1 p.m.)
and the afternoon term (2 p.m.-5 p.m.)
Price: 20 EUR.
The price includes renting of guns-markers with 100 paintballs
(bullets), obligatory protection masks, camouflage uniform
or combination suits, and insurance.
The visitors decide which of the offered sites they wish to
play on and what kind of the scenario.
Receipt
The organizer welcomes guests in Dicmo (gas station) from
where they continue to the parking lot, from which the playing
site is reached by a (20 min.) walk through a pine forest.
Remark
The whole-day stay is possible with an additional offer (Italian
balls, five-a-side soccer, etc.)
We recommend that you bring along high, firm footwear suitable
for stay in nature.
